I have been a little lax in posting the sauce of the week to the website. I have been better posting it to the facebook page.
The sauce of the week for this week is Habenero Garlic
Last weeks Sauce of the Week was 10,000 Island
Three weeks ago it was Whiskey Lime
The Chicago Tribune reports on the upcoming National Corn Dog Day, this Saturday, March 20th.
Reporter Chris McNamara talked to Wiener and Still Champion's own Gus Paschalis about WaSC's dippin' dog preparation: "It's our signature item," said the owner, who won't reveal his secret recipe. "We developed the corn batter ourselves. We use an all-beef hot dog. We fry in vegetable shortening with some beef tallow."
Saturday will be a busy day, but hopefully that won't stop you from coming in and enjoying a delicious dippin' dog or two!
The Chicago Tribune's TribLocal Site covered Wiener and Still Champion today.
Bridget Doyle writes: "Wiener and Still Champion has been the subject of chatter in the foodie sphere in recent years, receiving local and national attention for its humble looks but notoriously distinct take on unabashedly unhealthy cuisine. [...] Friends and self-proclaimed WaSC regulars Steve Eskoz and Rich Malitz say they visit the restaurant at least once a week. While Eskoz said he loves the deep fried jalapeños, Malitz said his favorites are the fries and the charburger. Both agree, however, that there’s nothing on the menu they wouldn’t try."

This was one of the original sauces (OS) along with Tuscan but for some reason didn't catch on. So it's getting a second chance. It is good.
I know what your thinking, Not very creative but I have to say that this is, so far, my favorite Sauce of the Week.
If you get it and don't like it, I'll throw in another sauce. It's that good
